Look familiar? For the month of July, I will be re-sharing some of my favorite Tiny Letters from over the years. This will give me a chance to share my proudest work with new subscribers and let you revisit old newsletters that you probably haven’t opened since. In the meantime, I’ll be getting married, but I’ll be back with original content the first week of August. Thanks for reading.

This photo essay is (mostly) presented in chronological order. If I was less lazy right now, I’d sketch a map for you so you could trace her journey. After seeing it on set, I bought this couch in exchange for a donation to the Mint Theater Company. Andrew and I stood outside the theater and hailed two Ubers before one would take us with the couch up forty blocks to my apartment. We are *insanely* lucky that it did not rain that day.
The couch took a Uhaul to our first Pittsburgh apartment, where it hosted new friends and old friends, then another Uhaul to our first house. We quarantined on this couch: reading, eating, playing NERTS or Catan or plating elaborate cheese boards because it’s a Monday and we can.
This couch is a fixture of not just our home but my identity. It’s instantly recognizable, like the Friends couch. That green velvet tufted sofa? Oh ya, that’s Kelsey’s couch.
