What is Lucky Rigatoni?

Lucky Rigatoni is a memoir (in parts). What does that mean? Basically, I’m writing my first book, and every week I send an informal dispatch of my thinking. I tend to write about memory, perception, relationships and habits. I write about everything, but mostly about myself. LR is a newsletter, yes, but it’s also a conversation. I value this community of readers and thinkers. You are all integral to my work.

Who am I ?

My name is Kelsey Swintek. My essays have been published in Hobart Pulp, Nowhere Magazine, and elsewhere. My photography has been featured in The Hopper. You can find me on the internet as @kelseypizza or @kelseyswintek.

Artist Series

In the LR Artist Series, I interview an artist and publish a very lightly edited transcript in full. Many interviews I read online come across as more edited than conversational, and this series is intended to instead value the process, which can often be messy.
